Warren Presses Apple and Amazon Over $100 Billion in Invalidated Tariff Payments
Senator Elizabeth Warren has taken aim at seven major American corporations, demanding they return billions of dollars in tariff refunds directly to the consumers who bore the cost of those duties through higher prices.
The Massachusetts Democrat sent letters Friday to Apple, Amazon, Energizer, Motorola, Nike, Target, and Walmart, seeking detailed information about the refunds these companies are receiving following a Supreme Court decision that invalidated tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
